Please Note: Pumped air will not maintain carbonation for more than 12 hours or so. For carbonated drinks, like beer, this Party Tap is best for when you will drink the whole keg in one day - eg at a bbq, party, beach trip, sports event, dinner party etc. For flat drinks like juice, coffee, soda, negroni etc it's not an issue.

So how does this Tap work, with no C02 would I be replying on the carbonated beer retaining is carbonation for a period of time.Per-say I filled my keg at the wholesalers how do I purge the oxygen for the space in my keg without C02

Hi Bryce - Yep these are great little taps - so easy fro anyone to use.

For beer or anythign carbonated, this tap is used like a party pump with no co2 where If you are drinking the beer once the tap is installed within 24 hours it should be all good and be carbonated enough - The longer you leave it the more it can de-carbonated. IF you drink the keg in a few hours then you wouldnt notice any de-carbonation. If you leave the keg partially full after your event longer than 24 hrs then yes it will de-carb more and more.

Our suggestion if using for beer is to get your mini keg filled to the top and use the flat cap that comees with the beer to close it off. Only take off that flat cap and install the USB pump once you are ready to pour it.
