QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Do I need a special regulator fir one of these?

    Hey Darren

Yes you need a type 30 reg for Co2  and a type 50 reg for Nitrogen or Nitrogen co2 mix.

We have both these regs available if you need one and the cylinders too - Let us know.
    Cheers - Andrew.

  • How many litres of nitrogen in a nitrogen only cylinder?

It's a tricky question that - Do you mean how many Litres of gas are there (about 1000 says google)  or do you mean how many litres can you push with it?  That will depend on what pressure you use and how much head space you have to fill.
I hope this helps - let us know if you have more questions.
    Cheers.

  • Hi can you refill these with straight co2?

These have a nitrogen valve on them so you might have issues filling and using with co2 regs - however as an Eziswap cylinder you can swap it for a co2 cylinder anytime.

  • Can you supply a 200psi regulator and what would it cost?

Our standard nitrogen reg may be suitable but 200PSI is at its max  it is $180.  We can get higher rated regs but they will be in teh $300 range. They are much heavier duty.
Let us know if you want us to confirm a prive for you.  Is 200psi the max you want to use?

  • Hi. Is the straight nitrogen what I need to serve cold brew coffee through an insitu beer tap? Or do I need the co2/nitrogen mix

Yes that is right, pure nitrogen (n2) for coffee. Co2/n2 is for stout or other nitro beers.

  • Can you get an adapter to use a mini nitrogen regulator with the 3kg nitrogen cylinder, I am using ot for stout which is best the co2 nitrogen mix or straight nitrogen

    Hi Alan,
Unfortunatly due to the shape and size of a full size nitrogen cylinder as well as the very high pressure, there are no adapters avaliable to the mini regs.

You will need a full size nitrogen reg for either pure nitrogen or mix gas full size cylinder.

Both gasses work well with stout, the co2 mix will keep the beer carbed while in the keg. Pure nitrogen will eventually allow the beer to decarb, so eitger drink the stout all in a few days, or clip it back onto co2 at the end of the might. Some folk like pure nitrogen for a dead flat stout.

  • I purchased a 3kg CO2 Eziswap cylinder last year (9/23) and this has an 11/2018 date stamp on it which I have now found is out of certified date owing to only a five (year) certification period. How does this affect my cylinder which is now due for replacement?

    Hi Greg -
No probs at all there, the date wont affect getting swaps at all as Eziswap take care of the testing on their bottles for you.
You can take it to any local Eziswap centre and swap it for a full one anytime. You only pay for the gas price when swapping.

    Cheers - Andrew.

  • Hi IKegger are selling nitrogen regulators - dual gauge. What does 'dual gauge' mean? In addition to regulating the gas flow per minute, do these regulators also show the gas pressure in the cylinder? Eddie

    Hi Eddie,
Yes two gauges on the reg. one gauge shows the output pressure in psi/bar.  The other gauge shows the remaining pressure in the cylinder.
Any other questions let us know.
    Cheers, Andrew
